The documentary-making project involved a total of seven Northumbria students and graduates and nine community participants.
Yacine Helali, 30, is a French-Algerian filmmaker who created a film about the West End of Newcastle that he hopes will challenge people's perceptions of the Muslim community.
Geraldine and Nansady Keita, both African drummers, created a documentary about their craft and the workshops they have developed with residents from the Newcastle area.
The couple met in Nansady's home country Guinea in 2004 as Geraldine continued her training in the traditional percussion of Guinea.
Finally, Lebanese asylum seeker Richard MacLeod's film focuses on his experience of being forced to leave his family and friends to settle in Newcastle.
